The Real Men in Black
Way before the dawn of the popular movie series, The Men in Black, many people have believed that the FBI have employed men wearing black suits, hats, a white shirt and black tie, to invenstigate and scare government skeptics. Though, many believed the Men in Black are in fact extra terrestrials working in the government. This has been a popular belief since the 1950's and are now integral to UFO lore as much as Roswell, Area 51, and pretty much every alien abduction story, ever.
So what is the purpose of the Men in Black?
Well, it is said that the so called Men in Black travel in groups of 2 or 3, and visit those who claim to have seen UFO's, Aliens, or claim to have had an encounter with extra terrestrials. They confiscate evidence that individuals may have collected, and strike fear into them to keep quiet about their findings. Though the FBI and government claim they have no knowledge of the Men in Black, reports say that they are seen getting into black government vehicles after threatening the individuals to keep quiet.
If that wasn't strange enough, people who have had encounters with the men in black, claim they look almost reptilian like, are bald, pale white and have neither eyebrows nor eyelashes.
So, are there any cases of the Men in Black? Yes. Many. Such as the Herbert Hopkins case.
Dr Herbert Hopkins was a family physician from Old Orchard Beach, Maine who was home alone on the night of September 11th, 1976. On this night, Herbert Hopkins claims he was investigating a UFO incident that had recently occured, when his house phone rang.
Picking up the phone, Herbert was greeted by a man's voice who claimed to be a represtative of a New Jersey UFO Organization. - Note this organization later turned out to be non-existent.
"He wanted to know if he could come here and talk to me about the UFO case. He also asked if I was alone, and I said yes," Hopkins told this reporter in 1978 for a story broadcast on NBC Radio.
Now, if that wasn't odd enough, when Hopkins walked to turn the light on, the man was already coming up the steps inside of his home.
This would have been impossible unless the man was already in his house at the time of making the phone call.
Hopkins said that the man was dressed in an all black suit, white shirt, black tie, wearing a black derby. The charcter was bald, had no eyelashes or eyebrows and had smooth, plastic like skin. He also claimed that the man's lips were bright red as if he were wearing lipstick. He spoke without any form of emotion, was very passive and was very monotone, as if he were a robot.
They proceeded to talk about the UFO case that Hopkins was researching, though the man remained emotionless.
To make things even strangers, the Man in Black wiped his mouth with his gloves, and after moving his hand, his lips were smudged confirming the fact he was indeed wearing bright red lipstick.
"It was only then that I saw that his mouth was a perfectly straight slit. He did not have what we call, lips. So the lipstick was put on as a decoy. His mouth was like a ventriloquist's dummy." Hopkins explained.
It gets stranger.
The odd visitor told Hopkins to take a coin out of his pocket and hold it in the palm of his hand. "He said, 'Watch the coin,' and it started to develop a silver color instead of copper, and then the silver became bluish and the penny was getting quite fuzzy, out of focus, blurred, and then it simply was gone -- it slowly dematerialized."
It was only then that the Man in Black demanded Dr. Hopkins destroy all of his findings and research on the UFO case.
"As he spoke his last words, I noticed his speech was slowing down. His words became slower and farther spaced. He slowly got to his feet, unsteadily, and he said very slowly, 'My - energy - is - running - low - must - go - now - goodbye.' Just like that."
When the man eventually left, he walked slowly into a light around the corner of Hopkins home and slowly dissapeared.
